Runway for a Cure raises thousands

JACKSON, Tenn. – Hundreds of fashion savvy West Tennesseans gathered for the 20th Annual Runway for a Cure Fashion Show at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, Tuesday evening. The annual event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. It include a silent auction, which was followed by a runway show of this season’s latest fashions. Local shops styled models in outfits from their racks. Organizers said the night is a lot of fun all for a good cause. “We can all survive this terrible disease,” said Event Co-Chair Kristi Turnbow. “The more we join together and raise awareness the more good we can do.” More than $50,000 was raised at Runway for a Cure. All proceeds will go toward the fight to find a cure for breast cancer.
