State unveils new hybrid utility trucks in West Tenn.

SAVANNAH, Tenn. — Tennessee Valley Electric Cooperative and the TVA unveil a new, quiet hybrid electric bucket truck in Savannah. The equipment allows TVEC to run a silent bucket truck, which it says improves safety and reduces emissions. TVEC is among the first of 17 utilities across the valley to receive the trucks. As part of the program, a public electric vehicle charging station is now available in front of the Tennessee River Museum in Savannah.
