Benton Co. woman dies in collision with semi

CAMDEN, Tenn. — A crash late Friday night along Highway 641 in Benton County claims the life of a Camden woman. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Brenda A. Kelley, 68, of Camden, died when her Nissan sedan crashed into the side of an 18-wheeler near the intersection of Cedar Drive. Officers report the collision happened at 11:12 p.m. Troopers said the semi was headed north on Highway 641. Kelley was reportedly headed south when she swerved into the northbound lane, striking the truck just behind the driver’s door. A report by the THP shows both drivers were wearing seat belts. No possible cause was given.
