Jackson police investigating Waffle House parking lot shooting

WEST JACKSON — Police are investigating a predawn Sunday shooting at a Jackson Waffle House parking lot. Officers were called out to the shooting about 4:40 a.m., which took place at the Waffle House at 24 Casey Jones Lane, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. A bullet struck a car window, shattering the glass, and a 29-year-old Jackson man inside the car was struck by fragments, according to the release. The man was treated and released from Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, according to police.
