Lane College homecoming brings economic boost to city

EAST JACKSON — Lane College’s homecoming and all the events that came with it delivered a significant economic impact for the city of Jackson. According to the Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau, the weekend festivities brought in nearly $1 million. The money was added to the local economy by the weeklong series of events tied to Lane’s homecoming, with the majority of spending taking place at hotels and restaurants.
