New state report: Jackson-Madison Co. schools failing

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Department of Education released their annual report card just hours ago, and the numbers show the Jackson-Madison County School System is failing. Overall, the district was ranked at the lowest level for literacy and numeracy. According to the report, schools in the district fell into the least-effective category when it comes to students making progress towards standards for academic growth.
