Jackson middle-school students honored for writing challenge

JACKSON, Tenn. — Middle school students who took part in the “Do the Write Thing” initiative were honored Tuesday by Jackson City Council Members. A total of 563 Jackson-Madison County school students accepted the program’s challenge and submitted their own writings to express the local impact of violence. Twenty students were selected for special recognition for their contributions including junior writers from Rose Hill and North Parkway schools.
