Thief accused of stealing car batteries, valuables from unlocked cars

LEXINGTON, Tenn.-Some car owners in West Tennessee were missing something under their hoods when they tried to crank their vehicles this morning. Lexington police told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News John Curtis took car batteries from vehicles in the 200 block of north main street. Officers said one burglary happened Monday and two last night. Police said the recent thefts should encourage residents to make sure their cars are locked and valuables like electronics are taken inside. Police officers also told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News that a tablet was taken from an unlocked car.
