JACKSON, Tenn. — The holiday season got off to a running start Saturday morning, and runners could be heard coming down the road. The annual Jingle Bell Run 5K brought in runners dressed in their most festive holiday costumes, some tying jingle bells to their running shoes. The event raises money for arthritis awareness, the nation’s leading cause of disability. Participants said it is not just about adults with arthritis, but young people are affected to. Nearly 30,000 children in Tennessee are affected by the disease.
