JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson residents laced up their sneakers Saturday morning, and got moving with education. The national sorority of Phi Delta Kappa held their 9th annual Walk for Education at the Lift Wellness Center to cap off American Education Week. Participants donated books for children to use at the Jackson Dream Center. “This is a resource to use at the Dream Center. There is also a tutoring resource that is provided for them there, so this can go along with the tutoring services,” Phi Delta Kappa member Rose Anderson said. Proceeds from the event are used to help Phi Delta Kappa provide scholarships for youth throughout the community.
