Gibson Co. woman charged with TennCare fraud

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Gibson County woman is jailed tonight accused of using her TennCare benefits to doctor shop for prescription pills. Tammy Buckner, 36, is accused of using her TennCare benefits to visit several doctors in a short amount of time so she could be prescribed drugs, according to the Office of Inspector General. TennCare fraud is a felony and punishable by up to two years in prison.
