Man charged in trailer thefts from Jackson business

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson man is formally charged Thursday after he is accused of stealing three box van trailers from Hub City Waste Paper. According to the arrest warrant, Laundra Hulbert went to the business and stole trailers valued at $3,200 and then took them to a junkyard in Trenton. The trailers have been recovered, and the owner says he feels lucky to have them back. “Where I found them at, the guy told me the next day they were going to cut them up, and so I was at the right place at the right time,” said Lewis Young, owner of Hub City Waste Paper. “I’m just glad to have my trailers back.” Hulbert’s bond is set at $1,000.
