5-year-old Henderson Co. girl succumbs to Batten disease

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The 5-year-old girl in Henderson County that fought for her life against Batten disease has died. Last Monday, Brylee Grace Holmes was honored in the city’s Christmas parade as a thank you to her parents and to those in the community who did so much to help the family. A funeral for Brylee will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Reed’s Chapel in Lexington. As part of Brylee’s wish, her family has decided to give all money to the Batten Disease Research and Support Association.
