JACKSON, Tenn — Organizers said Tuesday they held the third annual Isaac Lane Angel Tree at the technology elementary school. 35 students in need were ready for gifts. Among those who received gifts were 4-year old-twins Madison and Montrell Cathey, who lost their home in a fire the week before. Their mother, Ashley Oldham said they are extremely thankful for a community who jumped at the chance to help her family. “We’ve had a whole lot of help people have donated a whole lot of stuff. So, we’re doing real good,” said Oldham. The event’s founders, Ronnie and Susan Morris, said stories like these are the reason why they started this event. “So, we can hopefully provide Christmas to children who may not have a Christmas,” said Susan Oldham.
