Tennessee Masons share Christmas at a Jackson elementary school

JACKSON, Tenn. — On Wednesday, hundreds of children across the state experienced a little piece of Christmas early. Masons from every region in Tennessee handed out more than 200 presents to students at Washington Douglass Elementary school. High Priest Marcus Brooks said the Christmas ceremony is what the holiday is all about. “Watching all of the children be amazed at what they were getting and just to be appreciative to actually be thought of today,” he said. Brooks said the Masons also gave fruit baskets to teachers. Similar Mason ceremonies were held across Tennessee.
