UPDATE: THP identifies victim in two-vehicle crash near Savannah

SAVANNAH, Tenn.-The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirms one person is dead after a late afternoon crash involving two vehicles. Investigators told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the crash happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Highways 64 and 226, just east of Savannah. According to the THP, the driver of an empty log truck was turning onto highway 64 from highway 226 when a car driven by Hollie Templeton, 27, of Savannah hit the side of the truck. The reports indicates neither Templeton nor her passenger were wearing their seat belts. Investigators said the passenger in the car was injured while the driver of the truck was not injured. The crash involved a log truck and another vehicle. As of early Wednesday evening, troopers were still on the scene.
