Man faces attempted murder charge in Haywood Co. shooting
HAYWOOD COUNTY, Tenn. — A man is facing an attempted murder charge after a weekend shooting at a convenience store. Tondre Durpree Ragland, 38, of Haywood County was arrested Monday and charged with attempted first-degree murder in the Sunday shooting, according to a release from the Haywood County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies responded to the shooting around 4 p.m. at an Exxon station at Exit 56 off Interstate 40, according to the release. Police found the victim, a 41-year-old Jackson man, who had suffered two gunshot wounds, according to the release. The man was transported to a Memphis hospital and released the following day. The shooting is still under investigation, according to the release.
