Recycle Christmas trees with Chipping of the Green

JACKSON, Tenn. — If you’re wondering what to do with this year’s Christmas tree, why not donate it? The Chipping of the Green project continues Friday through Jan. 8. West Tennesseans can drop off their live Christmas trees at Jackson Fire Department Training Center in front of the Jackson fairgrounds or the parking lot behind Petco in north Jackson. Next month, the trees will be turned into wood chips and bagged for pickup. More than 800 trees were recycled last year.
