City holds free New Year’s concert at civic center

JACKSON, Tenn. — New Year’s is approaching quickly, and it’s already time to start thinking about how you plan to ring in the new year. Councilman Johnny Dodd and the city of Jackson are sponsoring a free concert at the civic center featuring performances ranging from gospel to Christian rap. “We have a bunch of great young men and ladies that are going to put on a great show for you,” Dodd said. “We’re going to be praising God all night, making a change in our youth’s life tonight.” Doors will open at 9 p.m. The event is open to all ages and will feature free food.
