THP data show traffic fatalities down in state

JACKSON, Tenn. — The numbers are now in for Tennesseans’ time spent on the highway in the past year. As of earlier this week, Tennessee Highway Patrol officials reported an estimated 30 lives were saved on Tennessee roads in 2014. As of December 29, an estimated 952 people were killed on highway roads, just in 2014. That’s down from 2013’s 986 as of the same date. We will have the latest statistics as soon as they become available.
