JACKSON, Tenn.- WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News has an update on the dog from McNairy County who was rescued after being severely abused. The dog’s foster mom said Chip the dog was taken to Alabama Friday to meet with a neuro surgeon. Next Wednesday, Chip is scheduled to meet another surgeon from New York City who has helped with another serious case of animal abuse. The rescue group HARTT is still offering a $500 reward. Meanwhile, the McNairy County Sheriff’s Department is working to find leads on Chip’s alleged abuser.
