Tennessee Named ‘State of the Year’

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Tennessee is named the “State of the Year” for economic development. Monday, Governor Bill Haslam announced the top honor for a second consecutive year. Some of Tennessee’s top projects include Volkswagen’s $600 million expansion in Chattanooga creating 2,000 jobs. Tennessee becomes the first state in the award’s history to win back-to-back honors.
