JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority is asking you to chip in to help save power. The cold temperatures that many have grown familiar with have placed higher demand on the area’s power supply. Until further notice, the TVA is asking customers to reduce their use of electricity as much as possible until further notice. That includes postponing use of some appliances such as dish washers and dryers, reducing thermostat heat to 60 degrees and turning off all lights when not in use.
