Jackson students see impaired driving risks at mock DUI crash

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — The deadly risks of driving while drinking or using drugs were laid bare Monday for Jackson students. Local law enforcement and first responders staged a mock impaired-driving crash in a parking lot near downtown Jackson to show the dangers of driving while under the influence. On site to see the destruction were 39 students from Leadership University. The Jackson Police Department, Jackson Fire Department and Madison County EMS hosted the event.
