Trial date set for man accused of killing wife with overdose

JACKSON, Tenn. — A trial date has been set for the man accused of killing his wife with a deadly mix of heroine and a muscle relaxer. John Christie faces a count of second-degree murder in the death of his wife, Brittany Christie. His trial will begin May 27. His mother, attorney Edyth Christie, was later indicted on a count of tampering with evidence. She is accused of deleting evidence that linked her son to the crime. John Christie is scheduled to be back in court Feb. 23.
