Man faces robbery, burglary charges in alleged attack

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Police say a man was found inside another person’s home and attacked the homeowner when told to leave, according to court documents. Untario Kidd is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated burglary after a man told police he found the door to his residence forced open and found Kidd inside, according to an affidavit. The man told police he knew Kidd and that he did not have permission to be inside the home. When the man told Kidd he was going to call the police, Kidd then allegedly attacked the man, hitting him with his fists, his feet, a flower pot and a bottle, the document states. Kidd fled before police arrived, and the man was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries to the head area, according to the affidavit. Kidd is being held in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
