JACKSON, Tenn. — The stands were packed in Oman Arena to see which one of the cowboys would take home the prize and head to the next big competition. In the semifinals, Josh Barentine was the highest scoring bull rider, scoring a 91.5. Barentine is a formal world champion from Louisiana. Each of the competitors had to hit an 88-point score to advance to the second round, and 17 of the 25 riders made it through. Elliott Jacoby won the night with a score of 93 on the bull, Gold Buckle. Jacoby will head to compete in the 2015 World Bull Riding Championships in July.
