JACKSON, Tenn. — Saturday evening, Jackson Dream Center officials said they happily hosted their biggest money making event of the year. Officials said their 5th annual “Night at the Caribbean” inside the civic center is their biggest fundraiser. The fundraiser helps provide a safe place for homeless families until they can transition into permanent housing. They said about $34,000 was raised last year. The event’s guest speaker said she hopes those involved in the program will look to the right places to make better decisions. “Every mistake I’ve ever made is because I was looking to someone or something to be what only Jesus can be to me,” Gigi Graham said. “The dream center tries to show these girls that Jesus can really help them with any problem they’re going through.” Dream Center officials said they hope to reach a $50,000 goal.
