Union City police recover stolen vehicle; only cigars missing

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Police recovered a man’s stolen SUV Tuesday and found nothing missing — except half a pack of cigars. Police responded just before 7: 30 p.m. to Visions Church on Miles Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle, according to a report from the Union City Police Department. The owner of the Oldsmobile Bravada told police he had left it unlocked with the keys inside when he went to church and found that it was missing when he went to leave. Police found the vehicle around 8:40 p.m. in the 600 block of Pierce Street, according to the report. Nothing was missing except the cigars. The owner verified the vehicle had not been damaged, and it was returned to him.
