MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Federal agents met with Madison County officials Monday to help address the overcrowding at the Criminal Justice Complex. Officials from the National Institute of Corrections are in town through Wednesday. Sheriff John Mehr says this is the first step in fixing the problems at the CJC. On Wednesday, the national group will pass on its recommendation based on this week’s meetings.
