Police search for suspect in north Jackson car burglaries

JACKSON, Tenn. — A string of car burglaries in north Jackson has neighbors on alert and police asking for your help. Jackson police said several cars have been broken into in the Cherry Pointe and Willow Green neighborhoods over the past few nights. Surveillance pictures show the suspect who police said appears to be a light-skinned black man with facial hair. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News spoke with one neighbor who says it makes him scared for his children. He said his neighbor who had several electronics stolen is terrified. “She’s ticked off just because, I mean, you know, people we work so hard for what we get and people come and they just steal it from you,” said Phillip Cummings, who lives in the area.
