JACKSON, Tenn. – Trinity Christian Academy fans shouldn’t have any trouble keeping up with their most decorated football athlete. Senior Kyle Akin signed his official letter of intent to join the University of Tennessee at Martin on Wednesday morning. “They took a chance on me. No other Division I school did,” said Akin. Being the all-time leading passer in the state of Tennessee and the first Mr. Football Winner in school history are just some of Akin’s achievements. His sister Audrey believed her brother should be playing with a bigger school than the Skyhawks. When bigger offers didn’t come in, she took matters into her own hands. “She sent 20 to 30 emails to the big schools saying you will regret not having this guy,” laughed Akin. “I’m happy she would do something like that for me.”
