MILAN, Tenn. — The community joined together in Milan for an event that’s been held for more than half a century, Sunday. The 63rd annual Brotherhood Tea was held at the Polk-Clark Enrichment Center. The event was started during times of segregation, and organizers say the original purpose was to bring both sides of the community into one setting. Participants came out to take part in singing, listening to speakers, and eating a meal together.
