CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — A Sunday morning shooting at a bar and grill sent multiple victims to the hospital. According to the Crockett County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call about a shooting around 1:40 a.m. at Malone’s Bar and Grill just outside Maury City. “All we know at this time is a fight broke out. Upwards of about 30 gunshots were fired,” Sheriff Troy Klyce said. “We’re not certain for sure about how many people were shooting, but it appears at this time there was more than one.” A neighbor, who did not want to give WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News his name, describes the atmosphere moments after the shootings. “People were just moving around and it was kind of a nervous time because things like that don’t happen around here,” he said. Authorities said 6 victims were injured in the shooting, 2 of whom are in critical condition. Just four hours after the shooting at Malone’s, a house near Alamo was also shot into. No one was injured. “We found seven bullet holes in a trailer home, we think both of the shootings are connected,” Sheriff Klyce said. Investigators said they are still searching for suspects.
