Lexington City Schools announce closures due to illnesses

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — Officials with Lexington City Schools have announced closures due to illnesses causing excessive absences. The Lexington City School System will be closed Thursday, Feb. 12 and Friday, Feb. 13 due to multiple illnesses causing excessive absences among students and staff, according to a release from the school. The schools will reopen Tuesday, Feb. 17 after the President’s Day holiday.
