JACKSON, Tenn.- A Henderson girl was busy on the day before Valentine’s Day spreading love throughout Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Every year, Treasure Thaxton and her family collect Teddy bears that will be given to patients in the pediatric unit of the hospital. The event is held in honor of Treasure, who was born prematurely and at times was too delicate to be held by her parents. Instead, they would place one arm of a Teddy bear against her and hold the bear’s other arm as a way of connecting with her. This is the tenth year Treasure has handed out Teddy bears at the hospital.
