Woman charged with breaking into Jackson laundromat

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A woman accused of breaking into a laundry mat appeared Monday in Jackson City Court. Velve Lowe is charged with vandalism, theft and burglary. Police believe she broke open the coin boxes at the family laundry mat on Old Hickory Boulevard. Officers say when they caught up with her, she had $18 worth of quarters. The damage is estimated at $200. Lowe is currently jailed in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
