Police seek woman in alleged checkbook theft

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are searching for a woman they believe stole a check book and later forged checks at a Jackson retailer. The victim reported their check book stolen Jan. 15, and an investigation determined the suspect had forged the checks to buy merchandise at Gander Mountain at 1523 Vann Drive, according to police. The suspect is described as a white woman wearing a blue pea coat. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
