Employees speak after foiled attempted robbery

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Friday, employees at BancorpSouth shared plans they have for the future after the recently foiled armed robbery attempt. The shooting happened Thursday, where Janiece Frisbee was kidnapped forced at gunpoint into the bank, and shot multiple times. Co-workers said she is now out of the hospital and recovering. Police have arrested suspect Dominic Williams, in connection to the shooting. Now bank management said they are making changes to increase employee safety and emotional support. “I just can’t tell you how I feel, and how I love my hometown of Humboldt. People came out and supported us,” said Linda Lashlee, head teller. Branch President, Brad Webster, said law enforcement will be increasing patrols near the bank especially during morning hours. The company is also providing counseling services for employees who talk with someone if they feel under duress from the recent events. “Our employees are doing phenomenally well. It’s going to take a long time to recover. but everybody is in really good spirits,” said Webster. Lashlee said their doing better after hearing from Frisbee during her recovery. She said Frisbee inspires her co-workers to think more of others over themselves.
