JACKSON, Tenn. — Motor Mania took a spin through the Jackson Fairgrounds as car owners shined up their finest automobiles to show off to other enthusiasts. Race cars, classics and hot rods were shown off, and spectators voted on their favorites. The 5th annual car show featured special guests including Lightning McQueen and Ninja Turtles. Organizers said more than 1,000 people came to check out all the wheels. “We have customs, classics, hot rods, motorcycles — we have a tractor,” said Deb Smith, director for Thomas Media’s events. “We actually have an under-construction category this year with things that don’t even have motors.” Car show participants said bringing in their vehicles allows them to show off a hobby they’re passionate about. “It is 100 percent original,” Terry Reinhart said about his 1966 light blue and white Mustang. “It looks exactly as it would have sat in the showroom floor in 1966, and so it’s just a labor of love, and her name is Elizabeth Marie.” Motor Mania returns to Jackson March 2016.
