HENDERSON, Tenn. – Teddy Holder’s life changed on March 28, 2015. The small-town kid from Chester County defeated one of the top light heavyweight fighters in the world. “That victory is monumental,” said Holder about defeating Thiago Silva. “It’s probably the highlight of my MMA career so far.” Holder’s competitive edge attracted him to mixed martial arts. He tried everything from soccer to football. “I saw fighting and I was like man, I could do that. Where I come from, might be a small town, but people around here have a certain pride in them.” Pride is a reason for Holder’s return to MMA. The Henderson native started fighting professionally in 2008, but stepped away in 2009 for three years. “I’m 9-1 now, but if I stayed with it, I probably could be 15-1 or so. Everybody knows who I am already.”
