JACKSON, Tenn. — The city of Jackson has received $18,000 in grant money to support healthy eating for some local communities. The money is meant to help provide healthy food and nutritional literacy for those children who usually would not have access to these items while out of school. The grant also will implement nutrition and physical activity standards, promote meal planning and decrease food waste.
