Police seek help to ID woman in alleged Walmart theft

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police are looking for a woman they believe may be responsible for the theft of a sound system from Walmart in south Jackson. Officers say a woman stole a sound system valued at $248 on March 27 from the Walmart at 2171 South Highland Avenue. The person of interest is described as a black woman with long hair and wearing a long, dark dress and a necklace, according to a release from the Jackson Police Department. Police say a woman fitting the description is seen leaving the store in security video. Anyone with information is asked to call Jackson police at 731-425-8400 and ask for Investigator Cagle or call Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477).
