HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn.,–The Henderson County Sheriff’s Department said they need help identifying two suspects believed to be connected to string of car burglaries and thefts. Investigators said the suspects targeted both locked and unlocked vehicles within a 2 mile radius. Walking away with cash, purses and even a gun.
Investigators released surveillance video, Wednesday from a home security system, they said shows the men casually walking up to at least two cars before rifling through them and stealing things from inside. Saddle Club Loop Road, Riley Cove and Hinson Drive were all hit Sunday night. One victim, who did not want to be identified said it was her neighbor’s surveillance video alerting her someone had been on her property. “They called me over there and that’s when we saw they tried to get into our neighbors and then they got into his truck and then they went across the road and got into her van,” she said. Investigators said once the suspects walk up to the vehicle they look through the windows with a flashlight app on a cell phone. Items reported missing include a glock 42 handgun, cash, and social security cards. Deputies said they may be looking for more than just these two suspects. “We know there’s two, we’re not sure if a third one may be driving a vehicle because you can see on our video that they’re walking,” Captain Tracey Grisham with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department said. Investigators said once caught—these men could face multiple charges for burglary and theft.
