JACKSON, Tenn. — An open house was held at City Hall for residents to review the draft civic master plan for the city of Jackson. Members of a consultant team and city staff were on hand to answer questions. Posters and exhibits related to the draft plans and policies being considered were on display. Over the last 18 months, the city has worked with a consultant team to create a master plan for improvements to various areas of the Hub City. “We ran a plan. We are going to have a guide, and we are going to look at the important things that the community wants to see, and we can implement those things and make this community better than we are in now,” said Stan Pilant, director of planning for the city of Jackson. City leaders said the goal of the master plan will help unify the city’s numerous neighborhoods and resources and partner organizations to work toward a shared vision for the future.
