Academics play a role in Lady Indian’s college decision

JACKSON, Tenn. – North Side senior Morgan Harris knew since she was little she wanted to major in nursing. The Jackson native is getting a chance to do that and play basketball at Dyersburg State Community College. “It’s a great opportunity. I’m blessed,” said Harris after signing on Monday morning. “I liked their nursing program and their team. They’re really good.” Harris excels on and off the hardwood. During last week’s Jackson-Madison County Sports Hall of Fame, the Lady Indian standout was recognized as the school’s female student-athletes of the year.
