Sinkhole develops off Royal Street
JACKSON, Tenn. — A small sinkhole has developed on the shoulder of North Royal Street just south of Lawrence Switch Road. According to the Jackson Streets Department, workers are aware of the sinkhole and believe it is due to a failing pipe. They do not think there is an immediate danger to drivers as long as they stay off the shoulder. Officials said they are scheduled to begin repairs on Wednesday.
