TBI: Dickson man offered to kill child’s murderer
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A Dickson man is accused of seeking out a grief-stricken father and offering to kill his child’s murderer for money.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says that 43-year-old Jamey Earl Donegan has been charged with one count of solicitation to commit first-degree murder.
Authorities say TBI agents discovered Donegan’s offer while investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found last week in a duplex fire in Dickson. The deaths are being treated as homicides.
The TBI says Donegan went so far as to get another person to pose as the killer and make a false confession to the family so the father would be more likely to pay for the deadly deed.
Donegan is currently being held in the Dickson County Jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
