JACKSON, Tenn. — A deal has been reached between two of Tennessee’s biggest health providers. West Tennessee Healthcare and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee finally reached a multi-year deal Friday that gives “Blue Network S” and “Blue Network P” members access to services at the Jackson hospital. Last month, the two providers entered talks to renew that deal and had until May 14 to come to an agreement. “It’s very important. We exist to serve the community,” said Bobby Arnold, president and CEO of West Tennessee Healthcare. “Blue Cross is important to this community as well we both have put the needs of this community first.” Officials with Blue Cross and with West Tennessee Healthcare say they’re looking forward to continuing that relationship.
