Crews respond to early morning fire in Martin

MARTIN, Tenn. — Crews responded to a structure fire early Tuesday in Martin. Martin firefighters and police responded to the fire around 5:30 a.m. at 236 Oxford Street. Nobody was home at the time. The residence was fully engulfed, and firefighter fought the blaze for about three hours. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. State Bomb and Arson has been called in to assist Martin police investigators, according to Martin police chief Don Teal.
